Advice on drawing tablet?

I know there's more than a few really good artists in eGO that use tablets for drawing. Does anyone have advice on what kind of tablet(s) they prefer, or on what size(s) are too big/too small/just right?

Depends really how dedicated (money wise) you want to spend.

Bamboo is a great starter tablet to start off with that is not to expensive.

But a more top notch tablet that will set you back a bit would be a Wacom.

They make a great tablet that is a bit more professional.

What ever your choice is tho. Make sure it is a Medium or larger size tablet. Can't stress that enough.
Small tablets are just to much of a pain to really do anything on.

This a thousand times over. Having used small tablets and then moving onto a larger tablet made a phenomenal difference; it's kind of like sitting there trying to draw on the most uncomfortable piece of tiny paper ever, and it gets annoying, fast.

Also look for features that are important like making sure the touch interface is pressure-sensitive. You'll be trying to draw like normal and it will totally throw you off if it isn't, because it feels like you're just dragging an unwieldy stick across the mud.

I thought Bamboo was a Wacom brand that isn't made anymore? Feedback on sizes is excellent guys, it's sort of hard to visualize it without actually trying one.
