I've put just about 14 hours into this game so far, and I must say I really, really enjoy it. However, this game needs quite a bit of work, but it is still in beta. The game's officially launch will be in November. There is a timeline of progress for the game on the store page.
Now, is this essentially a WWI version of DOD:S? No. It is more like, if DOD:S and Red Orchestra 2/Rising Sun came together and had an offspring. The two factions are the French and Germans, with weapons being mainly bolt action rifles. Slightly more realistic than DOD:S, but not so much as RO2. The games are historically accurate. It is trench warfare at its finest. If you run out of the trench, you are fair game for even the weakest player to kill you.
Verdict (based on beta): 7/10
Really recommend if fan of DOD:S, RO2, or you want to play one of the few WWI games on the market.
