Random Crashes

Okay, I've looked over steam's forums and could not find an answer, so I'm hoping someone here has possibly encountered this problem and might have an answer for it.

Whenever I connect to the minigames server, my game randomly crashes/disconnects. In minigames, everything is fine is spectator mode, but as soon as I get on a team and take a few steps, it crashes. No errors are reported from steam or from my PC. It is almost as if I had just quit the game and gone back to my desktop. This seriously frustrating and I haven't found out why this is happening yet. This has not happened on any other server(s) that I play on. Only our minigames server. Any thoughts? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Has your steam client updated recently? Are you opted in to Steam's beta client?

A similar thing happened to me on a handful of servers after a beta version of steam client was pushed out. Opted out of beta to revert to normal Steam to fix it.

Obviously they are telling you to be playing more jail. But in all seriousness, you can try the Tech Forums and see if someone there may have an answer for you if this does not work. I have not really heard of this kind of error with just one server.

CS errors are usually logged into console. If you open up your advanced launch options for cs and put -condebug into the box, then it will always log your cstrike console into a text file in your cstrike folder. This will allow you to check your console after a crash. Also, I would suggest disabling html motds until you can figure out the issue. My game had an issue with ads on the eGO servers a while back where it would spam console errors about unsafe javascript (it still does this on the CSGO server) and would crash to desktop as a result.

With that, isn't there a console command to disable html motd?

EDIT: Nevermind - cl_disablehtmlmotd 1 according to what I looked up.

I figured out what it was. Somehow, my download limit in my settings was changed to 16KB/s which is obviously not enough. CSS recognized a that the minigames server was flooding my connection and immediately disconnected me. That's the reason that nothing would happen until I started moving. Everything has been resolved now though and I am back to playing.

I have the same problem as you but my download is set to no limit
