Dota 2 After-Patch Lag

I have a friend of mine, that after the most recent patch has been expirencing some lag issues, especially upon loading of the game. Any one else experience this or have any ideas?

Aside from one offline match vs bots, haven't played Dota for a bit. I could test it out tomorrow (if I get the chance) and post back the results/edit this post.

I've had a few lag issues, especially last night in game.

Just played a bot-match earlier today, didn't notice any lag going on. Perhaps they might've fixed/updated it or something.
