Soo, I just noticed today that Bioshock 2 just switched its multiplayer and such over to Steamworks and completely ditched GFWL (Games for windows live)

I read a little up on the subject and noticed that GFWL is shutting down in July of 2014, then I found this website

http://www.cinemablend.com/games/List-Games-Switching-From-GFWL-Steamworks-59613.html

Bioshock 2
Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition
F1 2010
F1 2011
Fallout 3
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Colonies Edition
Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II

These are the only games that are switching over as I know of. What about Dark Souls and the Resident evil series? GTA? are all those being abandoned never to see mulitplayer again?

I for one welcome the change, I hated GFWL with a passion. But with all the games that belong to GFWL they should be changed over to steam works. Not only will it mean that we'll have better multiplayer and possibly steam achievements and free DLC, which is the treatment that Bioshock 2 received.

but there will be a bunch of new games that show up on steam in the next few months or so before july. I also read that if the game doesn't convert over to steamworks or abandon GFWL. Then the game will no longer be playable when GFWL goes down.

God I hope not... x.x

So is anyone else affected by this? Happy? Sad? Mad? let me know what you think?.
