BlazBlue: Alter Memory​

The story is set in December of 2199, when the streets are full of anticipation for the end of the year and the start of the new one. Amid the celebrations, word spreads that Ragna the Bloodedge, an SS-class rebel with the highest ever bounty on his head, has appeared in the 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi. The apparent aim of Ragna or the "Grim Reaper" is the destruction of the system controlling the world. To collect the bounty, a motley array of unrivaled fighters converge on Kagutsuchi.


Those of you unfamiliar, this is the series based off the fighting game BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. I loved the games and got excited when I heard they were releasing it as a series. Can't wait to see how they move it from game to anime.

If that's the case, then you can apply that formula to most action series.

Attack on Titan:
People talk. Titans show up. People are eaten. Erin is sad/angry.

G Gundam:
Domon fights a gundam, exposition exposition exposition. Domon fights another gundam.

DBZ:
Characters wander around for a bit and then fight someone. Then they wander around some more and fight someone else. Talking about fighting someone over and over again because they're not strong enough. Hidden power awakened. Bad guy is dead. ONTO NEXT STRONGEST ENEMY.

Do I really need to keep going?

If you don't have anything positive to say about a series, there's no need to belittle that series. If someone is excited for a series, let them be. Don't shove your own opinion at someone else in a negative way.

Well finally got around to starting the series. Finished episode 2.

I think the show's at least alright. Not really sure if having played the games makes much of a difference in viewing experience.
