It's that time again. Time for another Counter Strike: Source invasion night.
In the spirit of Halloween, the CS division has changed their minigame server to a zombie server. For those of you unaware, I got my start in PC gaming on a zombie server, so this fits right in for me.
For those unaware of what zombie mod is for counter strike, it boils down to this:
Everyone spawns and is given a chance to find hiding spots. A random player is chosen as the first zombie and has the fun task of running around and infecting(stabbing people in the face) the other players until everyone else is infected.
This is an approximate of what the server looks like when your position is the only one left
The map will have places for you to sit and hide or you can go about the task of making a barricade to protect yourself from the zombie/s.
If it's a zombie escape map, then all you need to do is make it to the end of the level without being infected. They're usually linear so it's hard to get lost. Some escape maps have a chance to screw over your team mates,
so try not to let that happen to you.
A few quick rules about zombie mod.
1. If someone makes a barricade, DO NOT break it under any circumstances. The person who made it has to take it down to let you in. If you didn't make it, oh well, find another place to hide.
2. Normal edge gamers etiquette applies.
3. Unlimited ammo is on the server, so you don't need to worry about ammo conservation.
Now for the nitty gritty.
When: Thursday, October 24th @ 8pm cst(normal event time)
Where: Counter Strike Divisional Zombie Server. Just put "connect 184.173.227.126:27015 " into console without the ""
Why: Because Fullmetal loves cs:s zombie mod
How: By installing and playing Counter Strike: Source, silly
Who: Fullmetal and Shiznoe will be hosting the invasion
We hope to see you there.
