What's the story behind your name?

In Jr. High I was really good at dodgeball, so my friends started calling me Pip after the character in South Park. Corona comes from word always wanting to correct the spelling of my last name to Corona. So one day we put them together to be Pip Corona because we were on the newspaper staff and wanted to do a column by a secret writer. It has stuck ever since.

I have a huge sense of humor and one day over the internet I stumble across this video of the group called Flight of the Conchords. They were some dry humor and this had this one song called "Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros" I loved this band and I just ouldn't help but take the name the of Hiphop-popatomus. That dash is for most people who need a hint to take the joke. :-p I'm still waiting for the a Rhymenoceros.

Well...I'm Irish, and I like these:

Booster was a nickname given to me when I played instruments (don't know why), but I liked it. 37 is my fav two-digit number, so the name stuck. I have this name almost everywhere online. Only here did I add the parentheses.

Soge King is the super hero that the character Usoppu made up from the anime One Piece (I watch it in Japanese).

The |lock on!| part comes from his theme song

His theme song is based off the Japanese version of power ranger's intro songs

It's funny because his name translated is Sniper King, but I'm really bad at using the sniper.

my original name was Brendan, but i joined a css clan and changed it to Acid Green, and i kept that name

My name was originated by one of my close friends from the electro band [link=http://www.myspace.com/goteki]Goteki[/link].

The [SBM] Part comes from their former band, Sneaky Bat Machine.

When I started playing half-life when it first came out i couldent think of a name to use for online play so my brother suggested HeadHunter and ive used it for everything ever since

Zoomer302 was my original screen name - shortened to plain old Zoomer last year. I own a very fast, highly modified and hopped up 89 Mustang with a 302 cubic inch engine. Hence the Zoom for fast and the 302 for the Ford engine.

Can't really say, it was just random. But the shape came from the internet typing form of a dagger: [XXX]:::::>...Just put Killa in there.

Dunno how the name really came about but me and a friend of mine made it up for him when we were like 7 or somthing. he recently passed away and i took his name and started using his old aim account then i decided i couldnt really just still his name like that so i add ilm in loving memory. its my little way of remembering him.

back when i played css i was really, really good. i was playing on a gungame server under my old name crazy. I had managed to headshot the entire enemy team alone and won the gun game in a round and a half. An admin was talking to another admin and said, "Either this guy hacks, or he has no life." So i changed my name to i have no life. They all laughed and i kept it ever since.

I thought mine was cool in the 4th grade when I made my first StarCraft profile and it has stuck ever since. lol :)

My name came from a secret item in Call of Duty: Finest Hour on the GC. It was a grenade that would bounce forever, shaped like a teddy bear with a WW1 era German helmet. Also, I'm mostly German and I like bears...

When Matt and I started playing games online together (Quake World - Capture the Flag) I needed a name and wanted a name to "match" his. I picked Hera, the Goddess of Love and Marriage and he picked Zeus her hubby. It stuck until we started playing Everquest and when I came back to FPS'ers and TF2 I switched back from Laeile (which even I can't pronounce since it was randomly generated by EQ) to something most people could pronounce. At one point we had a roommate that played a lot with us and he used the name Apollo so we had our own little Greek God/Goddess group that would go rule the servers (ok seriously if you've played with me you know I didn't 'rule' anything, but I rode the coattails of Zeus and Apollo).

Back when I played CS 1.5 my name use to be Patty, but someone in my former clan always called me "Paaty" by mistake, so I would use "PaaTy" in scrims to make fun of the word and it stuck. Also, its pretty funny when people pronounce my name "Party".

Mine is stupid. friend of mine, named Zach, used the name "Ziggy", which looking back, is pretty strange. To be "cool" like him, I used "Tiggy", after me, Tyler. Well, people thought I was either gay, or a girl, so I changed it to Tigster. Now I use it for everything. I've come to love it :)
