What's the story behind your name?

I always went by "unnamed" until my friend told me to change it, which was a response to his nagging.
 
My original name was majestikmoose (taken from Monty Python and the Holy Grail) but I've had it for awhile and I got tired of it. Robo hobo was inspired by an episode of Futurama where Bender tries to learn to cook and he meets the homeless robots.
 
I always liked the name Sturm after reading the Dragon Lance novels. So I was looking to get into some Star Wars and WWII games and I wanted a name that would fit both genres.

The wife and I had a bunch of ppl over to the house to watch the Iron Bowl (Google it) and she got a big screen projector from work. We used the dining room wall as a screen and I mean the players were almost life size. Anyway after the game when everyone went home she pulled out a Star Wars DVD and we watched it. Then we watched the commentary and Lucas talked about how DARTH VADER loosely translated into Dark Father from German. And it struck me, Sturm Bruder -(Storm Brother)- I liked assaulting (Sturming) in Battle for Europe (Google it) and I liked the brotherhood and played mostly Geman.

7 years have passed since then.
 
Mine start when I was in a clan called Katz, and I was a LDR there. Though I got demoted and then the LDR said I was abusing a certain tool (weapon tool like gmod tool gun) and said if I don't leave I'll get banned. Well I got pissed and quickly thought of a new name Hopi88. I guess that's how mine started even though I hate what Hopi is (a Indian tribe) so I got no cool tags for my name :(
 
My name didn't take a lot of time, I used the name Bubbles to replace an F-BOMB and everyone in vent laughed, then I slapped the Mister on it to look professional and mature.
 
First ever clan i was in back in qwTF when i was 10. They were clan depraved [dp]. I forgot what my name was.... well i liked the name so i took it, and 12 years later i still have it.

my friends and i had a guild called Kitten Mafia on a l2 server private server therefore we all made names related to cats so it would match with the guild thus MEOWMIX was born.

I thought so. Ive played with you a couple times. I read the Dragonlance Chronicles about 20 years ago. Loved them myself.

My name is pretty self explanatory. For me Capt. America represents what it is all about being an american. I collected comic books for years. Since 1975.

I have a very valuable collection, probly over 2500 comic books of all kinds. Although I havent collected comics in a number of years now.
 
Well mine is odd, but anybody who plays competitive smash bros would know what im talking about.

In the world of competitive smash, one player is very famous, and hes known as the world champion, hes made a bunch of money and stuff, etc etc, and he was my inspiration to get into smash. His tag was sephirothken, ken being his first name and sephiroth being one of his favorite characters.

So the name "one winged angel", also refers to sephiroth as one of the forms you must fight against during the final battle with sephiroth.

I'm also obsessed with FF, and sephiroth or kefka would have been my pick lol
 
Way back in 5th grade I was doodling, and I ended up drawing something that looked sort of like a cross between a jelly bean, a hippo, and a baby. I chose the name "Bob", but due to it's water horse-like appearance I named him "Hippobob". And thus, the name stuck, and I chose to use that name not just for that drawing but for myself as well.

And thus ends the story of ...Hippobob...
 
i got mine from some alumni in my fraternity, i was on probation for fighting at a party at my house, and one of my alum was a SBI agent and the other an FBI agent and i was their DD for the night on homecoming and so they nicknamed me konvict and it stuck :)
 
the first clan that i help create i was the enforcer of so i guess i kept the name ENFORCER because it sounded kool. Joe clan any one heard of that?:confused: I was the Enforcer till we disbanned:(
 
idk when i thought of my name.....i always have used it for source but i will sometimes randomly think of cool screen names during school. I came up with [O?] because oxygen just wasnt cuttin it. i thought somebody probably had that so i decided to use [O?] for shorter.....the brackets although are used for decoration:D:D
 
Welp, i was born.
My parents held me up and a light came down through the clouds, shined brightly upon me, choir music could be heard, and my father uttered:
"I name thee Chase!".
Yup. true story.
I just use it when i dont wana use one of my other "game" names.
 
My name comes from the HBO series Generation Kill. One of the most elite squads was code name Hitman and it is divided up into smaller groups Hitman Actual being the most elite out of them all and also the leaders of the Hitman squad.

ok here it is back in 1998 i used to play the game cyberstrike 2 (its still around) and i was named Mac'hala (Machala is my last name) then i downsized to it Mac/ Macman/ UntouchedMac <------WOW NAME HAHAHA) and when i started playing CLASSIC TFC i was hanging around in IRC at #frenchys and they had a dod and tfc server and changed my name to MacDj( yes i used to play music over shoutcast LOL) and thats how that name got stuck with me. WOOHOOO
