no Power :(

Ok so,
this isn't about computers exactly, but with out power I cant run my computer. I came home today around 1am and the power was out in my room.

First thing I did was check other rooms, they all had power.

Second thing I did, ran down to the breaker to see what was flipped... they all said that they were on. None of them were flipped. The rooms right next to mine have lights and such...

If this is in the wrong section, I apoligize, but I figured its a technical problem. Move it if you'd like.

So, any ideas guys???

Thanks in advance for any help. ( I have also posted this on the DoD side, but I'm feeling kind of impatient, the more eyes the better right. )

How Many Plugs are in your room. If there is only one plugin than thats because the Wires in the Plug-in have either fused or shorted out. If there are two than something is wrong with your wiring in your walls. Also you might want to phone an electrician.
I think the wires in the breaker thats hooked to your room might be screwed over somehow. Thats my opinion ive wired rooms before with electricity so i have some experience.

if its your room.....every single plug dosent work?

Check all the rooms otherwise, check the plugs. Lights may be on a different circuit.

A few of the plugs in ajoining rooms may be out also.

double check the breaker. and flip them all on and off

Some of the plugs have the test and reset switch. In my parents house if one of those pops out it shuts off some others plugs in the house. (The electricians that wired their house suck.) I would check those. If that doesn't work just wire up a crap load of rayovacs and power your computer with those.

Ask Wally to shoot lightning from his hands into your PC. That will work for sure.

Pipcorona is on the right track based on what information we have available. There is probably a GFI plug that is associated with your plugs. Its possible its not in your room, or is in an obscure place. It will have the little buttons that say Test/Reset. You will need to hit the reset button.

But also flip the breaker for your room off and on (or all the rooms to be sure).

If the wife runs the panini press and the microwave at the same time she shorts out the kitchen. The only way to get it back up is to flip the breaker off and on and then hit the reset switch.

another thing it could be is that if you use a six plug in or somin it could have been shorted or maybe the breaker for youre room busted cause while you were gon that day a plug could have seriussly shorted out and mixed the hot wire with the groung wire that would be my best guess but thats just the explenation, to fix it you need an electrician
