CoD: Ghosts First Impressions

So far I haven't really heard anything amazing about this game. I was thinking it would be good competition for BF4... Guess I was wrong..

Oh but it was.

CoD Ghost = $1bn in 24 hours

Anyways, BF4 is no better. BF4 = Copy/Paste of BF3

Just like CoD Ghost = Copy/Paste of MW3

Both have interesting additions which I can't wait to fully play with, i.e: Tablet mode

Well that was $1 billion worth of merchandise shipped to retailers. We have no actual sales figures as of yet.

From the last tally I heard was that Ghost did not top Black Ops 2 at launch which was a first for the Modern Warfare series to not out sell its predecessor at launch. But there a lot of factors contributing to the numbers.

so this may or may not be the correct page to ask this question but I was on a server today and noticed someone had an eG tag on ?? name was acerfish I believe?? now are we carrying over our rank to ghosts ie: e,eG,eGO or are we starting over with our ranks if and when the give up the dedicated servers ?

I'll talk with you more about this through PM. and if any one else who was demoted has any questions about this, please send me a PM. We are currently talking about this in leadership :)

I carry my rank to any game I play :P I like to represent. Feels good.

The issue isn't about carrying the rank to whatever game you play. The issue that's being discussed/resolved is what happened to all the members in the former Call of Duty division when it got closed down; do they keep their ranks? Do they carry over to a new division? etc. etc.

Oh... well this is news to me so I'll just be standing here in this corner... not getting involved any further lol.

I don't see why it wouldn't... Your rank (e through eGO) is based on your participation with the clan as a whole, not one specific game or group, no matter how or when you got it. The only people that I foresee being affected is leadership/prior leadership

Again, there are issues and factors involved that we obviously don't know how Council and leadership are resolving them. I can give you one immediately: When the call of duty forums and admin forums were removed, if a member did NOT belong to another division's active admin forum, they lost their rank. Now imagine that happening to hundreds of members who may have only belonged to that one division. And hundreds more who don't really play or belong in eGO anymore. Imagine the amount of time it would take to sort through it all to VERIFY that they were an eG or eGO, and then get them set up with a new rank again by having them join a new division, and THEN having to get additional admin training again since CoD used a different admin program than CS or the other Steam-based games.

Your rank may be based on your participation in the clan as a whole, but it is the division they belong to that makes the decision to promote/demote them.

very well put. sry didn't mean to cause a disturbance in the forums just wasn't sure about the whole tag thing if im carrying it over to ghosts since we really don't have a team for it yet and if we do sign me up for it.

also saw this plate one day and snapped a quick pic of it, and yes that was on a prius

Hurt feelings aside, my understanding is that any eGO member can wear their tags in any game on any server. Steam being the prime example where one's name is used in most Steam games. Most members leave their name with the eGO tags on with no problems.

Please Note:

1. Whenever you have your tags on you represent eGO so don't act like a jerkface or cuss in-game. Plenty of members have been banned because of their behavior in other games/servers while wearing eGO tags.

2. Only council members can create official and unofficial eGO clans using the eGO name or abbreviation.

If you need to make a clan to get tags in a game then you probably shouldn't go that extra mile. If you can change or choose your name to include your tags-- go for it!
