Hey guys,

Im always looking at weapon stats to see what fits me best. But when I compare all the weapons at the assault class, the SCAR-H seems the best, even though its the second weapon.

Am I wrong in this or what do you guys think?

Bird;)

To me, the SCAR-H seemed to have too much barrel climb to allow me to be accurate with it. I like to use the heavy barrel, but it gives a 50% increase to barrel climb so this just made things dramatically worse. I prefer the ACE 23, QBZ-95-1, and SAR-21 because they seemed to stay a lot flatter when I'm firing. Left/right kick doesn't bother me as much because I can correct for that, but when the barrel starts climbing and you lose sight of what you're shooting at it's a lot harder to compensate. The three guns I listed allow me to use the heavy barrel and still have significantly less barrel climb than most other assault rifles.

This is all my personal preference and opinion. I don't know the stats and whether or not the things I said are actually true. It's just how I perceived them. I find myself being a lot more successful with those rifles than any others, and I credit that to the lower barrel climb. YMMV

Recoil combined with rate of fire makes it a difficult gun to handle but if you engage at proper ranges with proper gun handling, you'll find that it's a fantastic gun in mid-ranged combat. It will fall short in short ranged combat.

PS: My current boytoy is the FAMAS with it's zero recoil and some 9001 ROF. The reload on the gun is substantially longer than any other gun, but it also comes with the burst fire mode which puts 3 rounds exactly where you're aiming.

I don't personally like the way the gun handles. Stats are one thing, but my preference would be for the M416 right now... I'm sure as you unlock more you will find others with similar stats that become you're new fav.

I've been playing around with the different assault guns. As it's my preferred class. My advice would be to experiment and try different guns with different attachments. Because to me attachments make a way bigger difference in BF4 than they did in BF3. To me they can completely change a gun for the better. Take the AEK for example when I first unlocked it I couldn't stand it. Now that I have some of the better attachments for it. It's probably one of my top 3 assault rifles. Put an angled grip on it and a flash hider. And it just tears through people. With the 900 RPM and very little recoil with the attachments. Very fun gun. Besides the AEK I love the AUG and the M416. Those three rifles are my top 3.

No Ace23?

ACE 23/52/21 are my favorites. I usually run them with the muzzle brake, stubby grip and laser sight. Ill try the flashh hider and angled grip later. (once i unlock the flash hider for all 3)
