Ugh, I hate the ending of BF4. You can't sacrifice yourself :frown: You have to choose someone else to die.... This is what went through my mind: "Irish has a wife and 3 kids.... Hannah is needed for her country.... There are all those innocent people on the ship plus Jin Jie and Pac and Garrison.... Hmmm... Maybe I need an outside perspective *thinks about Spock in Star Trek* 'The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.' *chooses Irish* Since he only has a wife and three kids. But I really wish I could have sacrificed myself."

Like really, the first thing I thought was that I would sacrifice myself, but it wouldn't let me! :chair:

Anyways, poll! Who did you choose? Feel free to explain why or w/e.

Hannah, the one that would be most likely to turn on us if push came to shove....................

Well I mean she did the only logical thing since they were surrounded by enemy forces at that airport... And she came clean and helped them get away.

I was waiting for my character to grow a set and go down there himself.... I guess that never happened RIP Valkyrie

Yeah I wanted to listen to the script so I waited it out and it turns out waiting too long while your ship is taking fire is a bad idea.

What I want to know is why didn't they hop back in the boat they came in and high tail it out of there before the c4 went off? I'm sure they would have had plenty of time to get away. Very disappointed with the ending

I finally got every dogtag, and weapon unlock there is... But yea getting the last three was annoying.. gl and happy hunting, check youtube if you need guidance.

irish kinda annoyed me so i let him die first.

Yeah I didn't like him because he never obeyed orders and just went off and did his own thing. And he was really obnoxious every single time he talked. I just wanted to stick a rag in his throat :chair:

very good point doesn't make much sense now...

I guess it's just one of those things.... I don't even understand what they were hooked onto. I thought they were going to board the ship bridge but it looked way higher than that.

The ship is under a bridge. I believe that they were hooked onto the underside of the bridge. Don't understand why that was a better option than just taking the RHIB and leaving, but OK. Also don't understand why all of the C4 wasn't on the ship to begin with. Why exactly do you hold onto the last charge?

I sent Irish, when it counts, you trust your team, not someone that happens to be along for the ride.
As for being tethered to the bridge, you were not where the enemy was looking to fire at you. The charge set on the ship was a limpet mine, so your charge would not have done a lot of good, except as it turned out as a detonator for it. Although the limpet mine should have been placed under the waterline on the ship.

It shows Irish placing a limpet mine on the hull, but the conversations all along suggest that they're trying to use the C4 to sink the ship. Hannah asks the captain how much C4 he has, Irish tells the captain to give him all the C4 he has, Pac calls on the radio and orders a RHIB's worth of C4, and when you're hanging from the bridge Hannah asks you if you have another C4 charge. If the C4 wouldn't do any good why so much emphasis on it? I was actually pretty surprised to see Irish placing the limpet mine. The captain acted like there was no way they could sink the other ship. When Hannah and Irish let him in on their plans why didn't the captain just say "Oh, you don't need C4. We have some limpet mines."?

Either way the whole thing's still flawed because the explosion wouldn't have taken that ship down in the 3 seconds it took them to blow up the Valkyrie if you don't send anybody down with your C4.

I'm probably just looking for flaws because I was so disappointed with the ending. It wasn't really an ending. What happened to the General? How did the Valkyrie escape? (It sounded like there was a lot more in that canal than just that one ship.) How did Pac get back to the Valkyrie? How did Pac heal so quickly from the hole in his gut? Who is You're So Vain about? All these unanswered questions...

Yeah it's also going to be hard to build off the BF4 campaign story because the player chose who died - unless they give you a start script like "WHO DID YOU CHOOSE TO DIE?" lol. But yes, I regret to say I was very disappointed with the BF4 ending. Too many things go unanswered :l

One other thing that I didn't quite get was why they didn't just drop a thing of c4 onto the boat from the bridge and when it hit the boat have it blow up?
