Battlefield 4 miniguns or cannons?

So on the scout heli what do you think is more effective? I've been trying out the cannons but I'm starting to think that the miniguns might actually be better which actually is?

The splash damage on the cannons helps a ton with killing infantry. If you're willing to sacrifice damage against light vehicles then you should go with the cannons.

I've been using cannons, but the damage doesn't seem to be much different...

i couldnt kill crap with the miniguns. they felt so weak. now that i have the cannons im getting a ton of kills. i enjoy the cannons alot more.
