Memory question

Hi ppl, I need your help about this little problem:

I want to add more memory to my computer, searching in a local auction site I founded these memories

I want 4 gb of ram but my budget is limited, i can buy 4 GB of corsair memory but I think that the other memories are going to make my computer faster. I hope that anyone can help me to decide, thank you

I will always, always, recommend Corsair. I would take Corsair Value RAM over most brand's premium stuff.

wanna hear a funny story? I have kingston value ram but i want faster memory, i'm thinking in OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Reaper HPC Edition because the heatsink is huge.

I'm using Ocz reaper 1066 memory, its pretty stable at a slight overclock. But troublefree so far. Belive it or not, dell had some crazy 15% off gamer merchandise on top of the rebate offered by OCZ a few weeks ago. Might be still active. It was cheaper than what I paid for it.

Corsair's actually not the best around these days, despite the hype you usually get about them. OCZ and Geil perform better, for me. Corsair's "value" series RAM is slow compared to even Geil's premium stuff (which is about the same price) and much less stable. Go with the OCZ Reapers, 2GB is more than enough for you if it's fast RAM. Unless you're on Vista, in which case... I'm sorry. :<

On Vista, you'll need 4 GB to see a big improvement in things like switching between programs without having to draw on your page file, but I'd still take 2 GB of fast RAM over 4 GB of lower quality.

Be careful with the Reapers, though, as they sometimes do have incompatibilities with a few PC layouts (the heatpipes get in the way of large CPU heatsinks or other parts). If you're in doubt, the Platinum or Gold series are more than adequate.
