Wireless card not picking up signals

Hi,

I've been using my Netgear WG311v2 wireless card for a while now, and have had no problems up until recently. I installed my new nVidia 8600 GTS into my PCI-E slot, and after i booted up my PC my wireless card doesn't see any signals! Im positive my signal strength is very good, but i dont know why my card doesn't pick up connections.

Possibly an IRQ conflict.

Easiest way to check (assuming you're using Windows XP) is to go to Start, Accessories, System Tools, System Information.

Open the Hardware Resources tree, click Conflicts/Sharing, and check to see if your wireless card and graphics card are on the same IRQ. You could also just click the IRQs tab instead of Conflicts/Sharing and check there, seeing if the wireless card and graphics card have the same number. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but depending on what the needs of each card are, they may "overlap" a little and cause issues.

If so, move the wireless card to another PCI slot and try that. You may also want to check for new or updated drivers on the card manufacturer's site (for both the graphics card and the wireless card). If neither of these is possible or fixes the solution, I'll try to think of anything else that could fix it, but I believe that oughta do it.

Okay here i go:
I have removed my card and put it into another PC, and that wireless starts working, so the problem has to be with my computer.
I have installed my card into another PCI slot, and then Vista doesn't even recognize it! So i switched them back.
After posting on numerous forums, and trying alot of different things, i just gave up and used my old MSI PC54G2.
