What effects the amount of time you take to load into the game?

I seem to have a really long load-in time to play and it's really annoying.
It used to be a lot faster on BF3, but then ever since 4, it's taken me like 3-5 minutes to load into a game.

Just wondering what part I have that might need to be upgraded

Yeah, replacing your hard drive with a Solid State Drive (SSD) will drop your load times to probably 20-30 seconds. I remember on BF3 when I was running on a 5400 RPM HDD it would take like 2-3 minutes for a map to load. Upon switching to an SSD it went to about 30 seconds tops

I'd recommend a Kingston HyperX 3K. They were 70$ for a 120GB one a couple of weeks ago. Check ebay first. Great SSD, great performance I've never had any of them fail. Also, a Samsung 840 Pro is a good SSD.

By the looks of an SSD, should I get an External Hard Drive?
Cause I got a lot of shit on my current Hard Drive .... _ ....

I agree with Punch2Face.. If you get a SSD make sure you can add or has the Trim command See here to explain further : Trim

if you strictly use these ssd for your operating system and a regular hd you still will increase load time by 30 to 40 %

I have the hyperX 3k 120gb. I use it for Win 7 and BF4. Load times are super fast. Im generally loaded in before anyone else

The Samsung is quite nice I got it just before BF4 came out and it made the game load sooooooooooo much faster than it did with the beta on the old harddrive.

I have the OCZ Vertex 450 256GB
write speed at 530mb/s
read speed at 540 mb/s
