Tech Help Deathadder middle click not working.

I have a Deathadder 3.5G mouse and the middle click is no longer working. I can "feel" the click, but it does not register. I have uninstalled/reinstalled and tried using different usb ports with now luck.

It does not work in game or surfing the internet.

i have had the mouse about a year and a half. It does not appear to be dirty. Everything else on the mouse works great.

Anyone one else have this problem?

Sounds like a mechanical issue. I had a similar problem with the thumb buttons on the side; i pushed them in too hard that the mechanics inside got stuck and wouldn't register me pushing them.

The fix I've read, and yours may be similar, is you have to remove the deathadder label underneath it. Once removed, it exposes the screws that keep it locked up. Carefully peel the label off (you can replace it back on once you're done), and then remove the screws. You should then find the piece that is stuck or messed up and be able to make repairs to it, if practical. Once done, reattach the screws and carefully reseal the cover.,
 
I took the mouse apart. It didn't appear to be dirty but I cleaned it anyway. If I press the middle click harder and longer than normal it seems to register. Looks like I am gonna be buying a new mouse :/

Did you register the mouse when you bought it, and if so, how long ago did you buy it? Razer has a warranty program for their products (need to keep proof of purchase to validate warranty), but I can't remember if it's 1 or 3 years limited warranty...
 
I did, but I'm pretty sure it has been over two years. Plus I voided the warranty when I took it apart to clean it. No biggie. I was thinking that maybe a update screwed something up and I was not the only one having this problem, so I decided to turn to our forums. It looks like it is only me. Thanks for the help.
 
sounds unlikely but make sure your synapse profile doesn't have middle click unbound. That happened to my mouse 5 before in synapse 2.0

warranty expired - rerouting all middle mouse assignments!
