IRL Artists/Designers?

Just out of curiosity, is anyone an actual artist/designer for a living?

I'll start out with myself: I recently graduated with a degree in graphic design. Shortly after graduation I moved to the Cleveland, OH area and found a job as a production artist with a faucet manufacturer. I work on their instruction sheets (the step by step guide you use to install a faucet), as well as a few other faucet related technical literature.

Although it's not really a creative position, I honestly think it's perfect for me because I enjoy using the software and the technical/creation aspect of the work rather than constantly being creative and pumping out new ideas every day.

I'm not a professional artist, but... I would definitely call myself an artist. I'm going into computer science and might possibly attenpt to combine the two interests. I paint and draw as a hobby, and have actually sold some pieces.
