I like it, given that it's winter and all, but when it's not winter I'm going to miss the colors.


So maybe keep the design but add back color once the winter season's over?

The enter key being disabled for logging in.

I spent more time then I'd like to admit checking to make sure my enter key was working properly....

Although it is "state-of-the-art" to use simple, minimalistic icons for everything there are places where one shouldn't use icons.
This design is a good example:

Anybody who is new to eGO would find his way around website with a lot more easy if there was text too, not just icons (which aren't necessary self-explanatory).
Yes, I know there are tooltips, but those aren't of much help on mobile devices - which are quite common nowadays

Totally agree on this. I am a webdesigner myself, and the usability is awefull right now. The style is called "flat-design", but this is a bad execution of that certain style.
It also doesn't fit the rest of the website. It doesn't fit the subject of this website. It needs text for new users. The color is a weird choice, grey has little personality. The margins around the icons are way too small, make the icons smaller (not the circle but the inner icon). The style has no color palette, except grey and white, which are no colours.

Conclusion: bring back the old style, or create a new one.

Its better looking now than last week. Last week it looked like minecraft blocks and now it has snow flakes which look great for the holidays. I think the icons thought still need some color or animation

I prefer the pre-snowflakes one, think that should be our normal theme or an option.
