As I expand into other maps in BF4 (yes, I hibernate in Locker WAY too much, something comfortable about CQ maps.), I realize I'm stuck in a world that I don't quite fit in . . . again.

The advent of flight in the Battlefield series has been a boon to many, and a bane to me. Using a mouse and WASD just isn't working. I can hover for 5 seconds in a copter and jets . . . forget about it.

I realize you can now "practice" in BF4, something that was sorely lacking in the previous version, but it isn't helping me at all. There is something missing, no feeling whatsoever. It's just not organic.

Strangely, I can fly on PS3 games, and I think I have a D pad controller around here somewhere, but I can not figure out how to get it connected / sync'd to the game.

I'd love to fly, and help out in ops instead of just watching my K/D ration plummet every time I set foot in a large scale map.

Any thoughts or help . . . feel free to leave some comments.

Have you thought about using a controller for flying? I'm picking up a wired Xbox 360 controller (to play other games, primarily console ports) and plan to use it specifically for flying vehicles in BF4. Sure there may be a second or two of down-time where I pick up the controller as I enter the vehicle, but at least it'll make my flying more enjoyable.

Well one thing that doesn't help is the fact that the AA in spawn's AI is way too accurate. This plus the fact that most the maps aren't big enough for jets to get a good run in without being shot down by the mobile AA or engineers with stingers. If anything I'd suggest in a nice joystick if you want to be more like the pros. I use WASD, and mouse with sensitivity on high and still get owned. Good luck finding a solution.
