Looking for someone willing to make a quick 5-10 second flash intro video for a DOD:S competitive team highlight video. Please respond if you have any experience with flash movie maker, and the like, and would be willing to help me with a quick intro clip. Thanks.

does it have to be flash specifically? can it be in a common video format? what kind of intro were you looking for? just a title clip or just a logo sliding in etc...? if its something i can do i'll let ya know.

Hey, Azuki. Yes, it can be anything similar to flash. Just looking for an animation with the eGO logo and something to the effect of "competitive team highlights" flying in and spinning around with some sound effects. Nothing too crazy I guess. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

I'm still learning blender for 3d stuff, I'll see if I can do something very simple at least as a place holder til then :). Give me a little bit to work on it!

Hey I am starting to get the hang of blender, its not super fantastic but I'll have a basic 3d one going in a bit. I was wondering if you could do me a favour though, could you possibly upload the DOD:S font files?? They're located in the steamapps/common/dods/resrouce folder typically. There should be 3-4 .tff files. I jsut want to use them for consistency if possible.

Thanks!

Just as an update I've finally got the hang of the basics at least. Here's a render of a single frame. There's a lot of weird little artifacts on the 3d "edgegamers" but I hope it's not too bad.

I've got to drive back home now that the winter break is coming to an end, meaning I've got pack up my laptop in a few hours. I'm gonna render this from my desktop cause this computer is super slow in comparison.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations on things to change. I can fix them before I do the final render and composition. And also if you know what frame rate you're using it would be super helpful for matching the render. At the moment I'm gonna be doing it at 60fps.

I'm gonna add some sound effects to my clip, but I'm not gonna put in any music. It's taken enough brain power learning blender, I don't think I can relearn DAW software for a bit. I hope you don't mind just mixing in your own music over top.

Cheers!

I can do flash it takes a little extra time. I just delivered my son off at UCF so if you want I Flash Ill put something together. What are you trying to use it for and where. Flash extentions is usually .SWF or .FLA Normally you don't use a .tff extention for a flash or video file its normally used to store form data. I use some .tff files when I do web sites in flash.

Hey wreav :), yeah I was using the .tff for the font face for the DoD S logos for consistency. I managed to get em earlier. I did get a full render done today, but speaking of .tffs I was pointing to a wrong directory on my tower so the proper font face didn't get applied. I'm just rerendering now with the correct type settings *facepalm*

I'll upload it as soon as its done!

Cheers!

Hey, done the render and sequencing. The sound didn't go through... I think I used the wrong audio compressor. I wanted to have the garand shot sound for "day" "of" "defeat" and the garand clip ding sound for "source".

I know its very simple. I hope your video editing software has some cool filters or something to spice it up. I made this generic so you can fade from this into a frame that says "Competitive highlights" or whatever you wanted to use this for. Again please feel free to give me feed back if you want anything changed.

Likewise Wreav if you have any recommendations or if you could go in and do anything with this video clip I'd appreciate :)

Cheers!

Looks real good, Compliments man. My main suggestion is render it in 1/4 as well as reduce size to something like 460X250 or smaller. The file is large and it takes to long to download on most computers for only a 4-5 sec video and they wont open in full screen anyways. Something like a logo you want it to open real fast.

Thanks Azuki! This will work very nicely. I appreciate the hard work (I know these things can get kind of painful) and I hope you learned something that you can apply to future projects.

Thanks for the feedback Rufio and Wreav (almost wrote Wrex lol). I havnt had a chance to go back to that since this semester started but I'll try to do as you said and get a few formats rendered. I definately did learn a few things, hoepfully I can make it a bit flashier next time. Hope it works well for ya as it is Rufio :).

Cheers!
