Welcome to the Operation:X Division! Below you will find all of the information you need to know about Op:X.

Here in the EdgeGamers, the goal of the OP:X Division is to find, research, test, and integrate new games for the community, thus the name Operation: eXperimental. A game begins its first stage here in the OP:X Division as a suggestion by our community members. After the suggestion, OP:X leadership researches the game and determines if it would be possible for our division to support the game. If the game has potential it will move onto the testing phase in which OP:X leadership will start to test the potential support the game will receive from our community and outside player base. If the testing phase of a game is a success then the game will move into the last stage of OP:X support which is the integration phase. In this phase a game will receive full support of the OP:X Division as we try to determine if the game can become its own division.

Below is a chart depicting the process and current standing of games that the division are looking into. Note: there are a few requirements that we look for in order for a game to even be considered. Those requirements can be found in our new R&D section of the forums located here.

The research phase is where a close eye is kept on a game. This is where we try to determine if the game is going to be big enough to be able to support within the division. In this phase we will be looking at how much interest the game receives from inside and outside of eGO.

During the testing phase, we have decided that the game is a good potential candidate for being a successful game. Games in this phase wont receive as much official support as a fully supported game. We will be using this phase to figure out how much support a game will receive from the community as well as outside of the community.

This is the main phase of a successful game within OP:X. At this point the game is officially supported and it is fully implemented into the division. During this phase we will be watching the game to determine whether or not it can become a new division. Expect weekly events and a push for recruiting. This is a trial that will determine the fate of the game.

This is the end goal for any game that is picked up by the OP:X division. At this point the game has proven its worth and has shown that it can survive as its own division. During this phase the game will be prepared to become its own division. At the end of this phase the game will be its own independent division.

When games do not meet up to the expectations of the OP:X division support may be dropped for that game. Once we drop support for games they will be place in this category. When games are dropped it does not mean that they cannot be revisited at a later time. If reasons a game was dropped got resolved, there may be a chance that the game can get another chance.
