Never used TS3 before, only Ventrilo. I'm open to try out TS though.

How do i make it so it can show the music im playing and meh ventrilo and teamspeak is all the
same for me

I did notice a major difference in sound quality in Teamspeak. While I have used mumble and agree with the concept of an open source platform unless they have changed the audio quality of the program it is not the ideal solution.

Teamspeak does come with bloatware, which I do care not for, but sound quality wins for me in the end.

Vent was SOOOOO much clearer for me but everyone else says TS3 is way better ? Either way I vote TS3 because ( I am hoping ) it won't "conk" off when I'm playing.

ventrilo is like cheating because when you get killed your team can still hear you. Totaly unfair to the average pub player without it.

All-in-all I found Team Speak to be an easier setup for me than Ventrillo, and more easily modified (no more open mic when I'm squatting with my Ctrl key). Additionally the GUI is cleaner and more readily navigated. The sound quality seems better as well. So a total of three points here.

  • easier set-up
  • cleaner look/easier navigation
  • better sound quality

Now that I've been made a fledgling Admin I find that it is suddenly very important to me to be able to reach other Admin's for advice. Team Speak makes this easier for me.

TS mainly cause I have my own as well :thumbup1:

Honestly I enjoy Ventrilo because I'm so use to it. However, Teamspeak voice quality seems a lot more clearer.

I've got some messenger pigeons if anyone would like to use them. Looking forward to trying out TS.

There was a previous add-on for TS that allowed you to switch channels in-game. It would be nice to have on our FPS so teams can communicate tactically and privately. Would work well as our servers shuffle players around.

After using both for 10+ years, I prefer Team Speak.
I used to prefer Vent before TS made so many changes. In my perception, Vent has gone very bland as I've not really noticed any real significant changes for over the last 10+ years - unlike TS.
