Alright Anime Division, Unleash Your Recommendations

I need something something to watch. I've been a loss for TV ever since Breaking Bad ended and if there's one thing I know about this division, a lot of people here watch anime. I'm leaving it all up to you to decide what I watch next. Keep it mind I never got into anime. I've only ever watched two anime series, and while I enjoyed them, I was never really drawn towards the genre. I've always assumed I wouldn't enjoy any others.

I'll give it a week, and I'll watch whatever anime is recommended most, provided it isn't 300+ episodes or w/e. I love stuff revolving medieval, space, or post-apocalyptic themes. Here's your chance to either get me interested in the genre or push me further away.

-Cowboy bebop
-Death note
-Code Geass
-Rurouni Kenshin
-Yu Yu Hakusho
-Ghost in the shell (movies first the series later on)
-Gurren lagann
-Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood
-FLCL
-anything from studio ghibli

that's my quick and dirty list, I'm probly missing a few(read: a lot) of good one but I'm having a dumb and can't remember anything else.

Edit: I suppose I should add as I see people post and as I remember, since I forgot so many:

A good classic anime to watch is Cowboy Bebop. I think you would really enjoy it. On a side note, this isn't anime, but American Horror Story is amazing.

I'm going to edit your themes a bit to match genres that may appeal to you.

Medieval: Mouyuu Maou Yuusha, Shining Hearts (might not belong her, but has this kind of feel to it), Spice and Wolf (???)

Fantasy/Supernatural: If romance is your thing Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na, Suisei no Gargantia, Buddy Complex (currently airing), Kyoukai no Kanata (outstanding show), Haiyore Nyarko-San (nice comedy)

This one is harder because this can differ from anime to anime in so many ways. Post-Apocalyptic: Shingeki no Kyojin, Log Horizon, Sword Art Online, Shinsekai Yori, Guilty Crown.

Just started to name some shows off the top of my head. If you can give more specific genres or maybe something exactly you are looking for. Such as "looking for a fantasy/supernatural psychological thriller that would really get the brain working with an outstanding story and penguins", in which case I would recommend Mawaru Penguindrum. That would be something great to go off of and I might be able to find that "perfect" show to show you the light ^^.

My thoughts though:
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
G Gundam(or most of the serious gundams)
Dragonball(a bit lengthy at 156 but it's easy enough to follow)

I probably watch a good amount of stuff that everyone in this division hates but I'll give you the list of what I've watched/read anyway. I'll come back and edit this post if I realize I forgot to include something.
-Hikaru no Go (first anime I watched/first anime I loved)
-Naruto (Got old after a while)
-One Piece (Really stupid and now and a ton of episodes)
-Elfen Lied (Good story)
-Kyoukai no Kanata (It was great, Sephiroth told me about it)
-Fairy Tail (Love it)
-Rosario+Vampire (Read the manga don't watch the anime)
-Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (I also watched the non-brotherhood version)
-Shikabane Hime a.k.a. Corpse Princess (I read the manga, not sure if there is an anime)
-Death Note (One of my favorites)
-Soul Eater (Another favorite of mine)
-Did I say Rosario+Vampire? (I really recommend that one, it gets better as it goes along)
