hey guys i am going to start building my first gaming computer so i need lots of advice and some pieces if you have any extra i have a very low budget lol so trying to save every where i can

Minimum recommend amount is $500, though for a decent budget build, I'd recommend at least $750. Other important considerations is if you have to buy a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and OS. If you already have those, that helps save money on your budget.

I spent $400 on my build and it is better than my parents $750 pc. When you are building your first computer make sure when selecting your parts you make sure they are compatible. Second thing is to make sure that you know how to build a computer. Third thing is to not buy a GPU that uses 4GB or your memory. Go with a 2GB card because games don't use lots of memory. The last thing is if you can go with an Intel build. AMD is a lot cheaper but there products aren't as great. If you don't have lots of money go with and core i3 or an Intel Pentium. I went with an Intel Pentium and it performs just like and i3. That's all the tips I have for you. Hope I helped I will post my Specs in the future. oh and one more thing. if you don't have all the money now just be patient. It took two years for me to get all the money for my build.

Not to be rude but do not take any of this advice. It makes zero sense.

Lets start with a budget. Decide on your budget and people will build you a PC based off that.

overclocking?
latest chipset?
what else do you run when you are gaming? (this is for ram)
What is your current system specs? (maybe able to reuse some parts)
will you like a SSD? (there not cheap)
Monitor?
Keyboard n mouse?
Speakers?
Sound card?
Blu-ray burner?
Windows 7 or Windows 8?

First of all AMD producsts may not perform like intel, However that doesn't mean they are bad. Next realistically $500 cant outperform $750, unless you got $500 while its on sale or the $750 pc is overpriced. Also, Ideally you want Quad core for gaming not a dual core.

If you are on a budget dual core is fine. I can run Crysis 3 on medium settings with a dual core.

It depends on the game. You're going to have trouble playing Battlefield on a dual core processor, for example.

No, Crysis 3 isn't necessarily a CPU intensive game and you may be able to run it on medium settings but maybe not at buttery smooth 60FPS at 1080p.

I can run Battlefield 3 on ultra settings running smooth at 60FPS 1080p. But Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 however can not run on very high settings. I can also run Crysis 3 at 60FPS and at 1080p.

Then instead of settling for a dual core processor, why not go for a second hand Core 2 Quad? Intel has a 3Ghz Core 2 Quad that you can easily snag for less than $100. Sometimes they're already installed in a motherboard, which typically only have PCI-E 2.0/2.1 slots, instead of 3.0. So for a graphics card you wouldn't be able to go much higher than a Radeon HD 6000 series or a GTX 400 series card.

I can run Battlefield 3 on ultra settings running smooth at 60FPS 1080p. But Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 however can not run on very high settings. I can also run Crysis 3 at 60FPS and at 1080p.

Ultra setting meaning everything turned Ultra including AA?
I highly doubt that..play on Gulf of oman and say it runs at 60 fps.

Yeah... I dont see a GT 640 playing on ultra...

I have seen them play on ultra, at 720p with a steady 50 FPS but not 60 and not at 1080p. My 560Ti didnt even do that.

My Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz OC Edition plays BF4 on Ultra @ 1920 x 1080 with Anti-Aliasing on at a smooth 60 FPS. Sometimes it'll bump up to 70, sometimes it'll go down to 50. Depends on the situation. Battlefield 3 ran at 80 FPS (same settings) and never dropped once. Idk what I did to achieve that..

The main issue with BF4 that I'm having is that every 10-15 seconds gameplay will stutter for a sec. It's most likely video-lag and not my internet connection (which judging by my Speedtest results... it's pretty good for gaming). I turned AA off and the issue is fixed, so whatever.

My GTX 570 can barely do that.

I have a $500 AMD build and it runs every game I've thrown at it on ultra, Intel is not the "far superior" chip, I've tried planetside 2 with it and got around 60 fps, but haven't tried BF4 yet
