Oh yeah, while I'm thinking about it...

I have horrible horrible latency issues while using an ethernet cable, and since I've moved back to my college campus I can't use wireless!

Long story short, I'll be on the forums and not in-game until I can get a new ethernet card-type thing.

:(

Sometimes I find my latency to be 2000 ms, sometimes I find it to be 20 ms! I don't know why, but my latency is starting to lower at certain times during peak hours. It's backwards! Oh well.

Usually I am around 100 :/ It's wireless.
Notso, how can you play with 2000!?

Is there a firewall on your campus? I know some schools had, at one point, attempted to slow down/block access to gaming related sites, servers, services, et cetera.

I have to have some sort of AV software, so I got the lightest version of McAfee today. I disallowed all program blocking, so I'm gonna test tf2! Hopefully that will prove a non-issue.
