Operation:X will be hosting a Division Meeting/OP:X Invasion on:

January 18th at 7:00 PM EST

The meeting will take place in the OP:X rooms in TS3, and will consist of divisional news and information!

As soon as the meeting wraps up, we'll all be piling on the OP:X School Bus of Death, and taking a ROAD TRIP!

Some of you may be unfamiliar with the concept of an eGO Road Trip, so let me explain. During a Road Trip, the members of a specific division choose another eGO supported game, and pile on to one of, or many of, their servers. The point is to help fill eGO servers, and to bring a unique taste of OP:X madness to those whom it is alien to!

For this Road Trip, it has been decided that we will be visiting:

*Note: If it is determined that no appropriate eGO TF2 servers have room to host the Road Trip, OP:X leadership reserves the right to switch the target from TF2 to CS:GO, so please have both games installed!*

Also given the popularity of the theme of last months division meeting, we are once again inviting people to come to the meeting, and the Road Trip, with their favorite alcoholic beverages. Please note that Drinking is 100% Optional. eGO rules will still be in effect, and when in TF2 servers/TS3 rooms, you must follow their rules exactly (that means no cursing!).

OP:X leadership looks forward to seeing everybody there!

Usually it's best to decide the night of because we need to find a server that will accommodate our turnout.

hopefully ive got nothing going on that night. i like the alcohol element, but like, isnt that like a usual for opx? either way ive got some jameson ready

If I might make a suggestion to you, our esteemed guests, why not try our brand-new Instagib server? Have a few drinks and a lot of fun blowing people to smithereens in one hit!

I suggest that everyone take a look at a chunk of these short SFM/TF2 videos which are quite informative (some are not eGO appropriate so I will be posting the playlist link and a single video). These short videos are quite well done and amusing, while still retaining some very useful TF2 info. In the "about" tab for each video the content being shown is explained in a more advanced manner.

A video about sentry knockback:

Sentry Knockback said:
Info: In addition to great damage output, sentry guns, especially level three sentries cause very strong knockback with their bullets that can thwart an attempt to destroy them with Ubercharges. Heavies need to be close up to targets to do effective damage, Demomen won't be able to lay down sticky bombs close enough to the sentry to destroy them, and the knockback can bounce Soldiers around, making it harder to aim.

The best way to deal with this problem is for Ubercharged Medics to stay in between the patient and the Sentry to take the knockback. So long as he's bumpin' and grindin' on the sentry, the bullets won't push back the patient, and they can get as close as they like to the sentry. If the Medic is targeted by the Sentry first, he can even get the sentry to kill it's Engineer by moving around it so he puts the Engineer, in between him and the sentry.

I'm looking forward to Yeti's Triumph. However, I might be a little late.

That was a lot of fun. I think we're all looking forward to the next road trip.
