That makes a huge difference out here in Cali. Legacy TW is infinitely more reliable than comcast or adelphia converted areas.

Hmm... I don't know anything about them or have any reason to believe that they are blocking you.

Here's the crux of what I'm thinking. I think something is blocking you before your connection even reaches the server. Copy and paste into a new post the exact text of the error message? A sample 403 error message looks like this:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /test/ on this server.
Apache/2.2.6 (Unix) Server at gaarai.com Port 80

Well, im back..... Long weekend @ home and still no access to site.

I forgot to copy the messege, but ill try to do that tonight when i get home.

I still think this is no on my end of things but somehow on the host end. Somehow my IP got banned or something.

Just for the heck of it, lets try resetting your IP address.

First, lets get your current IP.

1. Get to a command prompt. (START, run, cmd).
2. Type: ipconfig
3. Write down what your current IP Address is.

Now lets try resetting it. This should work with most modems.

1. Still in the command window type: ipconfig /release
2. When that command finishes type: ipconfig /renew

Now repeat the first set of instructions and see if it is a different IP now. If it is, give the site a shot again.

If he's behind a router then he needs to do that in the router admin page.

Assuming he's got a managed router.

Alternately, just unhook the hardware provided by TWC entirely. Let it sit for five minutes and then hook it back up, you should probably be given a new IP. It's what I used to do when a forum I frequented got ban-happy.

I wonder....if someone got banned from our forum and had an IP close to the Doc's, like they lived in the same area, and they banned a range of IPs, that could be causing the problem.

Banning whole clusters? I can't imagine we'd do that. One bad seed from TWC in Orange County, CA would lock out a dozen of us.

I wouldn't imagine we would do it on purpose either. I do know that some web apps though sometimes ban clusters when they are told to ban someone. It was just a thought....at this point I'm searching for any and all possibilities.

I don't know why it would be, but I'd check the hosts file and see if edgegamers.org got placed in there, somehow. If it were being pointed at some other server, it could fail that way. (It probably wouldn't be a 403, but anything's possible.)

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts

Generally speaking, if there are ANY (uncommented) lines aside from:

127.0.0.1       localhost
::1             localhost

they should be removed.

Well, I was kind of hoping to come home and tell yall what I did, and how it was fixed....

Well that good. It might have been the IP thing. Every now and then the modem receives a new IP address from your ISP, so it might have refreshed while you were gone.
