We need to recruit the regulars

I have noticed in the many mindless hours of game play in our servers that we have ALOT of regulars that play in our servers. Recently we have been getting a few to finally join us but I noticed at the "Player Rankings" section at HLstatsX ( http://ego.hlstatsx.com/?mode=players&game=tf ) that there are some big time Regulars" that are awesome players as well that we need to get in eGO. A few names off the bat are grunt, Valik, wichos & 1hrsleep, I am sure that almost all of you recognize these names. It would be a blast to do some road trips with these excellent players.

I absolutely agree Sharpshooter. I've been on a few of them. Tom_Figs is another guy who should join up.

We need a way to ask specific players to join. The "do you want to join eGO" macros are good, but aren't specific enough in our interest in an individual player. But asking an individual player out right might seem degrading to everyone else you didn't specifically ask. Steam Community messages maybe?

How could I forget him, we go kill against kill on a regualr basis, sometimes I think Tom & Vulcan go to the same school on how to kill sharpshooter...lol

Eh... in general people with mics are more fun than people without, mostly because it takes too long to type messages out...(which reminds me, I need to get a new mic)

The problem with many regulars though is that they just keep to themselves and just want to be left alone on their killing sprees. It took quite a while for me to put down the gun and listen to the guys suggesting I visit these forums.

This is what I like to see, brainstorming about how to recruit regulars. Ask them everytime you see them, some join pretty quick and others you have to pester. I was one of the ones who was always asked to join but never went to the site until they almost theatened to kick me lol.

Remember that some folks just want to play solo, but it never hurts to ask

I too have wondered the exact same thing. When I see grunt coming at me with a sticky bomb gun my first reaction is to run away. He is most definitely one we want to get in eGO.

I can definitely agree with both Cap and Sexual Panda. Both are great players and are fun to play with.

grunt however makes me mad. He's constantly just above me in points. No matter how many points I gain, he's always just a little bit ahead, and that makes me a sad panda. As far as his play goes, he's crazy. He puts my demo skills to shame, and that makes me a suicidal panda .
