Nvidia 9800GX2 Coming out Feb

Not bad, guess I should of waited to get my new card, could of gotten it alot cheaper. >=(
 
Darkea, that's how it always is. You could always have gotten your <BLANK> cheaper.

The problem, as I see it, with that card is if it's PCIe most motherboards separate their PCIe slots with PCI slots. At least the ones I've seen. If that card is two PCIe boards adjacent to eachother, it wouldn't fit in my box even if I removed every other card in there.

The second card doesn't have any connectors. You can see as such in this picture.
 
Ah. Well then.

So essentially SLI without having to have a SLI capable system?
 
That looks amazing. Too bad I don't have 500$ to just spend on that. Give it a month and they will have one 5 times as powerful, which is what I hate about computers :/

I noticed that earlier. It definitely looks like an optical s/pdif output. Why that's on a graphics card, I have no idea. Maybe they are just using that type of port as a debug code output for the test cards. That's my best guess as I don't believe that they would have either a sound card built into the board or a sound pass-through capability as the HDMI output should support that if they wanted to do that for whatever reason.
 
I'm gonna go change my pants now..... Looks pretty good though. But judging by its size your might need a full tower.
I wonder what the heat output is on those babies
 
The MB they used with the 2 cards SLIed is the newer version my MB and it looks the same size. I have a mid tower and I'm pretty sure the card will fit will fit.

That is what I love about computers..they keep advancing.

Not really. In fact, the prices continually go down. Back in the 80's, a high-capacity hard drive could cost more than $1000. Today, you can get a top-of-the-line 1TB hard drive for less than $300.

So, not only do prices of a specific item continuously go down as it gets further away from its initial release date, but the initial pricing of the items are, on average, lower than they have ever been. This is why today's computer industry is a throwaway industry. It is cheaper to replace a malfunctioning system with a newer, faster system than it is to repair the system.
 
The pricing has been competitive based on what things started off as.

AGP cards when they first came out were crazy.

VESA cards years years years ago were pricey too.
