Everyone know's MLK and considering that if you're military or a government employee you're paid to take today off and celebrate him. And if you're in school you may be off-Why are you off? Who is this man? He's not just a freeway and street in every major city(This is rhetorical, look it up if you truly don't know), My question to all of y'all, What was the meaning of his speech and did it effect the world around you?

After you answer please take a moment to celebrate this man. His accomplishments were vast and we have him to thank for many people we enjoy and look up to, had it not been for him we wouldn't watch Morgan Freeman, or read Ronald Malletts theory on time travel. Mariah Carey certainly wouldn't be releasing Christmas albums. Anyways show this awesome gentlemen a moment of silence and some respect because he suffered the ultimate price for the common good of humanity

I truly believe if not for MLK, the world would still face many of the challenges from back in the day in the present. He did a lot not just for the African American Community but it also aided the movement for women's rights as others became the voice of the voiceless around this time period.

Good point! It's my firm belief that his death, and the events leading up to it such as the grenade being tossed into his window are one of the strongest reasons White Supremacy began to get shot down by the masses. The world still faces racism... i.e. whites stereotyping blacks, and vice versa BUT it's tolerable... each race can live together... coincide together-in Ohio I've seen so many relationships that are black/white it blows my mind. Good Job MLK... he started an awesome movement indeed! :)
