What is Tactical-Ops Night?
Tactical-Oprations Night (or Tac-Ops) is an event hosted on Op:X' Arma 3 server. Tac-Ops allows members to play challenging missions with stricter rules. The focus of Tac-Ops is to create a realistic in-game atmosphere by closely adhering to regimented squad tactics, chain-of-command hierarchy, and requiring individual players to select specialized roles. Tac-Ops is open to all members regardless of division and all levels of Arma experience. However, participants are expected to listen to event coordinators, designated leaders, and any intentional deviation from mission objectives or squad roles can result in an ejection from the event.

Although Tac-Ops may sound intimidating; as long as you listen, ask questions, and focus on the team's goals you're guaranteed to have fun in eGO's most realistic gameplay! Don't get discouraged if you mess up, there is always next time!

Tactical Ops Night setup.

When playing Tac-Ops, certain roles need to be filled. The first major class needed in a squad is a medic, followed by Engineer, next would be the machine-gunner, and lastly the riflemen and sniper roles. If you are unsure of which role to choose ask around.

Required Squad Roles
(Ask the EC or CO if unsure of a role to choose)

#1. Medic
#2. Engineer/AT/AA
#3. Machine-gunner
#4. Rifleman/Grenadier/Sniper

Please note, the command class will be reserved or decided beforehand. As 90% of the time the squad leader class has the same gear as a rifleman, we may not use the role at all. Of course not all game-modes or missions are the same. Do not forget that your CO is in command, not everyone individually. The focus of Tac-Ops is completing the mission as a team; behavior that focuses on kills, disregards the needs of the team, or ignores an order from a CO is not conducive to the Arma experience. In extreme cases if you continue NOT to follow your CO or display unprofessional conduct you will be removed from the event. However, I hope we do not have to exercise this option at all.

I've got a mandofun day with the in-laws, so I'll be AWOL for this one.
