Z77 or Z87?

What exactly is the overall differences between the 2 north bridges?

So far the only thing I notice is that Z77 can only be used on the LGA 1155 & the Z87 can be used on the LGA 1150. Is there any noticeable improvement on the 1150 over the 1155?

Improved power consumption and integrated graphics. Maybe would give you a few extra frames when paired with a discrete card.

Also, LGA 1155 is technically deprecated so there won't be any new motherboards with Z77- Z87 motherboards could have certain new features you may find lucrative, but you aren't going to find that many lucrative features in the new processors themselves (except for what I just outlined in the first paragraph).
