Ok . . I'm going to stick my proverbial neck out here . . . how do I improve my hlstats? I know . . stats aren't important here. BUT! I want to participate in the WTB competition. Is it that I don't play engineer and lean on Heavy? I don't do spy/sniper/soldier much either. I spend quite a bit of time playing and I usually finish better than 50% on KTD. Someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or just not doing . . . please. And don't laugh. (please :D )

Ethically . . . not looking to buck the system here. I just don't understand how it works . . and frankly, I don't get the point system in TF2 either. I guess I'm going to have homework to do, huh? You got a starting point for me?

Being a medic an easy way to get points when you are a higher rank like me. They get a default 4 points for the kill, when I usually only get 1 or 2 from a kill since they are of a lower rank. Also, the medic usually doesnt die as often and is able to retain those points better because of the less deaths.

Basically dont die is the easy way ;p

I cant stand people getting to the top as engineer. I primarily do soldier myself. I look forward to the WTB tournament to be a chance to farm stats points from them when they are forced to go other classes to be on top. Engineer wont be top of the team...

Like stated earlier, points per kill fluctuate, depending on the enemies point level. But an assist is a flat point total. So, as medic you usually get more points then the guy you are helping. Also, you get something like 5 points for sentry/dispenser kills. Destroying them helps the team advance and jumps your score up.

I also agree with the fact that not dying is the easiest way to earn points. Your stats can also depend on the class you are for each map. I like being sniper and engineer for dustbowl. They get me a lot of points because I am far away from enemies, and i can just shoot them with my rifle or sg. I use soldier and Demo for most of my 2fort lives usually because I Have a medic who decides to use his/her uber on me. I bring the rst of my team foward and destroy everything. It is all about playing smart. Good Luck on your way to the top 100.

Thanks, everyone . . . some good stuff to go on. Although, I have to add in here that I usually only play medic on a CP map . . and when I do, I'm like public enemy #1 (I'm working on the "stay alive" part).

Good luck Zoom in the WTB fights . . .
