I can probably speak for most firefighters and say drunk drivers are worst kind of people. I pray for a speedy recovery and to be as comfortable as possible. Get well soon.
 
Wow news like this hits you hard. I am glad to hear he has a great family to take care of him and looking out for his best interests by not letting him try to do things for eGO. I know how he feels. You just need to do things that are needed by you for the community. Good thing he has a wife that will look out for his health because as a man we are invincible or we think we are. Don't worry 808-Stat3 we will be here when you get back hope we don't screw things up to much while you are recovering . Gremlin

When i was 23 (43 now) i went out drinking with my buddies and drove home luckily i did not hit anyone nor got pulled over. when i got home i realized how stupid it was that i drove and vowed never to drink and drive again. and i to this day haven't (i barely drink anyways)

I am sorry that the person who hit you didn't have the epiphany i had and hope he feels guilt for the rest of his life fore injuring you.

Very sorry to hear this and saying prayers for a speedy recovery from surgeries. My very dear friend was also hit by a drunk driver when she was 18 years old. She was in a wheelchair for years but now she walks again and has regained pretty much full mobility with only some mild lasting nerve damage. Stay positive.
