Forum access problem

I am not sure where to post this, but a member is having problems accessing the site here. He states that this is the only site he cannot access, whether using Firefox, IE or Opera. I have walked him through the usual stuff (clearing cookies/saved files, etc) and still no luck. What am I missing here? He says that Firefox is his primary browser and he gets a blank page that says "done" at the bottom. In IE he gets this message:
HTTP 403
Most likely causes:
This website requires you to log in.

After seeing that message, I figured it was a login problem and it just might be . . . but he has no way to log in. Any ideas you guys and gals have would be great. Hey, I'm not afraid to ask for help This member can't post at the moment and we want to get his arse back in here

Need to know more about his connection. School? Work? Firewall (hardware or software)? ISP? Ad blocker?

Any/all of those could contribute.

He's at home, using a cable modem and has turned off addblock and windows firewall. I'm in agreement that there is a 3rd party software involved here since he can access other sites. Just a bit confused why he can't get on with any of the big 3 browsers . . . .

I don't know why it would be, but I'd check the hosts file and see if edgegamers.org got placed in there, somehow. If it were being pointed at some other server, it could fail that way. (It probably wouldn't be a 403, but anything's possible.)

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts

Generally speaking, if there are ANY (uncommented) lines aside from:

127.0.0.1       localhost
::1             localhost

they should be removed.

No, it's not DrMarvin, it's Bold. You can add him through steam friends. His steam name is "nemesis_of_darkness" (no quotes). Thanks for the help and I'll read the other link you posted when I get home from work tonight.
