I uninstalled and focused on running. In the two weeks since I uninstalled I dropped 166 miles in 14 days. By far the furthest i've ever gone.
Not gonna lie though, i've definitely missed roasting some pubs with the backburner and getting kritz with the solemn vow...

When I installed I was like a level 4 when I stumbled on OWB. I had never played a RPG FPS. So I was like "sure, accept". Most miserable like 10-15 hours of my gaming career ever. So many mutated dogs and skeletons in suits with insane weapons. I left there like a lvl 25 and thought the rest of the game was stupid easy.
I'd like to replay that game some day but right now I can't play any games cause i'm using my comp to mine crypto currencies lol.

So many mutated dogs and skeletons in suits with insane weapons. I left there like a lvl 25 and thought the rest of the game was stupid easy.

In a somewhat similar story, I tried playing Dead Money on Hardcore mode at level 11.
I quit for about six months.
Dead money was a PITA and I started it maxed out. Those damn things creeped me out so hardcore.

take a break, come back and try learning a new class/focus on a different aspect be it improving your KD or otherwise. Find what challenges you in the game a that competition is what keeps one interested.

I have been playing a lot of Borderlands 2, now that I know where to get the free golden keys. I know you said you don't have any other games, but it is down to $20 now.

I played religiously for a long while. At some point I slowly started getting bored of TF2 and just stopped playing it.
So what did I do? Well, I didn't worry about throwing my admin, because TF2 got boring. I didn't uninstall TF2. I didn't worry anything about the game at all. So when am I going to answer that question I posed in the beginning of this paragraph? Find that in the next one!
I just did other things and played other games. Eventually I felt like trying TF2 again and now I've been playing again almost daily. Whee, woo, and whoop-de-doo!

Okay...where to begin. I've got 3643 hours on TF2 and have been playing it since it came out. I like to complain about the constant item adjustments and glitches, but in truth, I can't stop playing this game. Especially the 2Fort map. To me it's sort of an archetype; one fort against another. A battle from childhood that is played out repeatedly. I could write an article about this. Maybe I should, and ask them to put it in the newsletter or something.
But that said, I've actually been tired of the game for quite some time. It's the people that bring me back. Ever since I strapped on a mic back in my DoD days, gaming changed for me, becoming much more of a social entertainment. The times that I am at my happiest online are when there's a lot of interaction, banter and joking around. That's why eGO Events are so great. Everyone's talking. I tend to get frustrated when everyone's quite. I call that Me Fortress because there's really no teamwork involved.
The longest I've been away from the game has been that one week of vacation annually. But it gives me hives shaped like TF2 logos (TRU story).
I agree with some of the earlier comments. You've gotta mix it up a bit. Try some of the Free-to-play games. Go jogging. I jog quite a bit and it's more an addiction than of form of workout.
Anyways. There's only so much you can do with the weapons, classes and physics that are available to us in TF2. But that's just part of the reason I keep coming back.

I've recently taken to naming myself "James Bond" (Not to be confused with another player who I got the idea from), and using the ambasador, dead ringer, and the YER. Tis good fun, when not actively trying for a disguise, unless you happen to get one in a melee battle or a lucky turn of events.
Take a break from the game, spend some time to enjoy a nice single player game. Skyrim, Fallout, Mass Effect, and The Witcher 2 are some of my favorite RPG's out there. Also, Starcraft 2 Arcade just went free, I had quite the nostalgia trip playing Elemental TD.

I will also occasionally go through spurts of playing large amounts of other games like StarCraft II, Portal, Portal 2 or Star Trek Online.

XD haha, oey's right thou. When my laptop went on a strike couple of month ago i started to get bored of tf2... After 2 month after getting a new PC I pretty much missed tf2 so much i can't stop playing it.
