Well as we all know, the Japanese invented Karaoke as revenge. But we also know that it's impossible NOT to look at a train wreck, no matter how terrifying. That's what makes the revenge even more sinistery. We know it's a trap, but we cannot help but step inside.
I'll bet Steven King likes a good Karaoke Night. He probably sits in the back or the room, cackling and taking notes of the more horrific moments, for his books. Hell, I'll bet he wrote the entire book Misery after witnessing a lumberjack belt out a Karaoke version of Muskrat Love, by Captain & Tennille.
Will I come to the Karaoke Night Event? Of course I will. I won't want to, but I'll have no choice in the matter. And I'll secretly plot my revenge.
