Does anyone know a comparable world size difference of the elder scrolls online versus world of Warcraft?

Considering ESO is still under wraps and NDA, any maps now would be hearsay. And it may be more appropriate to say ESO universe vs WoW universe since both go beyond just one world. WoW is on no less than four continents and two worlds. ESO would most likely be split between Tamriel and Oblivion.

With that said, someone DID come up with an idea of how big the ESO world is suspected to be:

Well. ESO is going to encompass all of the known area's of the Elder Scrolls universe. So all of the homelands of the Elder Scroll races (so Morrowind, Elswyer, Hammerfell, Skyrim, Cyrodiil, etc) as well as the plains of Oblivion. Technically speaking, the size comparison would probably be similar. But in terms of play area, I think ESO would probably offer more room. The zones are quite vast from what I've experienced

Personally I think:

1. Stop comparing every mmo to wow.
2. Not even going to get very good if it is still like how the beta's were. So many issues with the way the game is itself. In comparison to how well developed and immersive skyrim and the older ones were, ESO seems very very very unfinished.
3. Honestly some of the area's seemed large open world but at the same time felt very empty in both things to do and scenery.
4. As it stands it seems ESO is mostly hype right now.

Personally - Another WoW clone. It will probably end up like Guild wars 2.

Guild Wars 2 still has millions of active players and is constantly receiving updates. Plus, it's the closest thing the MMO genre has seen to a revamp of the wheel; okay, I'll admit it's not perfect but it's not exactly fair (or accurate) to summarize the game as a WoW clone, let alone as unsuccessful.

ESO looks like a snoozefest to me, though. It's not even that it looks like a WoW clone; ESO has what looks to be much more interesting combat, skill/ability management and progression, trait/talent and gearing systems than WoW has -- not to mention the PvP might be pretty cool -- but from what I have seen of it so far the combat also looks fairly clunky and unoptimized and it seems as though enemies take a day and a half to kill (And heaven forbid you pull more than two mobs by the looks of it).

Not to mention it has some really idiotic and archaic features like the fact that you can't loot chests someone else has recently looted and from what I hear, gathering nodes aren't universal like in GW2, and the oh-so-boasted about instancing system is broken as hell. Also, the game is fairly unattractive in my eyes -- this is 2014, so it shouldn't look like Oblivion. It should've had Skyrim graphics or better... I am disappoint.

I'd like to use the "It's still beta!" excuse but it's getting to be a month and change away from crunch-time; even if they got their butts in gear, there's no chance they can revamp everything that's wrong with the game.

I love it. Have been playing the beta and just bought it so I can play the early access tomorrow. I'm hooked. :)
