So my mom is looking to sell her entertainment center, but didnt get any luck on craigslist. She was asking $1200 for it. I attached a photo of it & would like feedback. Is the entertainment center worth $1200 or should she reduce the price? Nothing is broken on it at all.

Just fyi, she is keeping the hdtv & the dvd player.

$1.2k for a cabnet that holds a TV? That severely waaaay over the top. Maybe if it were made of Solid steel, came with a built-in TV+ surround sound, and a popped corn dispenser. Even Then it would be a little high...

Thats actually really nice. 1200 isnt too bad, it's what I see people trying to sell similar around here. Try lowering maybe to 900-1k. I'd probably try to pick it up if I weren't deploying. Can't tell the year or how the condition is though.

The things I would do to it though...mmm. New finish...maybe some glass doors..../drool

Another thing...not too many people use entertainment centers anymore either. So it may be a little hard to sell.

Well, it depends on the cabinet. The low quality photo wouldn't do justice to a $50 tv stand from IKEA.

What type of wood?

Press or not?

In our current times, 1.2k is overboard for an entertainment center for most people, especially 1.2k used. It may be worth that, but it might not be the time to sell it.
