I built myself a new computer and I am awfully HAPPY. Anyway, here are the specs on it, I still have some stuff to go, but I had enough to build it anyway

Video card: GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB 320-bit !amazed
Hard Drives: 160GB (SATA) main, 320GB slave
Power supply: Rosewill 600w
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.7GHz Dual-Core (3.9GHz performance rated per core) (7.8GHz together)
RAM: 2GB (DDR2 800)
Case: APEVIA X-CRUISER-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower
Sound card: Creative soundblaster audigy SE
Monitor(s): 20" widescreen westinghouse (main), & 19" Hanns-G (2nd) (Dual-screen LCDs)
Keyboard: G15
Mouse: G5
Speakers: Logitech X-530s
OS: XP Professional (32 bit)

Hard Drives: 2 x 320GB SATA (2nd and 3rd drive)

So, after I get all this stuff on my list, I will have spent over $1000 8)
(thats with an additional little things here and there)

Dude, we got the same video card! when I upgraded my computer last december I wanted an AMD system but for my work I go for intel, nice machine, gratz.

I am curious, how does the Athlon X2 compare with the Core 2 Duo performance wise? I'm thinking about building a pc within a few months.

Thats a good setup... the only thing i would change is the video card... ill go for the 8800 GT 512 over the 8800 GTS 320... just because its cheaper, cooler, smaller and better performance
