I've recently just graduated college, and I'm in need of some "side income" as I brainlessly blast out my resume to anyone who will accept it. I understand the real world in a cruel place, but I thought I would reach out to you guys on the interwebs for some idea's. I have a ton of free time now and would just like to create some productivity within my life seeing my gaming time has drastically increased and I realize I could be using my time to a wiser degree. I've theorized the options of anything from stock market trading to building computers for people, but I've dabbled in both and neither are extremely profitable in the short term(stock market trading can be, but in order to you must devote extreme amounts of time and energy). So I ask of thee', internet, gimmie those ideas!

Thanks for reading this block text,

I don't have money

Why not make youtube videos and make money of that with ads. It might take some time to actually get any money from it, but if you are planing on gaming then you can hit two birds with one stone.

What is your degree in and what major cities are in driving distance?

Do you think there are enough people left watching tf2 videos?

get a hot dog or pretzel cart and sell on a street corner like other new yorkers or maybe drive cab?

1) While looking for work, use the free time to help out like Habitat for Humanity, or other such programs. This can strengthen your resume, especially if the volunteer work is related to your profession; on a personal level, it'll make you feel good for helping others in need

2) If you don't have money, don't trade in stocks. Don't think of trying Day Trading either. To make any money off of it, you need to have a certain amount of capital to qualify as a day trader, otherwise, by law, your account will be frozen by your brokerage. That's for US citizens; in Canada, there are no limits so Canadians are allowed to day trade regardless of their capital reserves.

3) Get your resume reviewed by recruiting organizations, professionals, or any associates you may have. They may have some insights on how to improve the appearance of your resume, maybe formatting wise, etc., to make it more likely you can be hired for employment.

4) Start looking for any available internships you can do as well. Not as great as a full time job in your profession, but it opens the door for you, has the ability to pay you some money, and can give you a better idea if the job or company is one you want to be in.

5) Find your nearest Barnes and Noble, peruse their business, and finance sections and read and take notes. I do this almost every day and I've built a rapport with the staff so I feel always welcome in the store.

Ever heard of Biolife? In High School I used to donate/sell plasma for some spare change. I think it would bring in $200-300/mo.

I've been thinking of doing that for a while.

I've also tried looking into stocks, but with so many regulations I'd rather just go to sleep, not to mention the time and effort to actually put up calculations and doing charts to pick a worthy stock, even a penny stock.

There are things called mutual funds and index funds that do the investing for you... But then again, if you're not willing to do the research to make sure you're investing your money wisely, then you're better off not to invest as it's more likely you would be throwing your money away over time.

Never trust anyone else with your money, except a very highly regarded friend or someone they know through experience.

To each their own, but again, it's called DOING YOUR RESEARCH. Vanguard is one of the best funds to invest in, and it's doubtful the majority of its investors know the portfolio managers personally. But they have a great track record/history...

Honestly, if you're not willing to do the research yourself into how to invest, but still want to, doing some basic research on index or mutual funds that matches your investment theology is your best bet. And the mantra "If it sounds too good to be true..." still applies to every investor. That's when greed overrides logic.
