Gamer Tag Origins

When I was a kid I needed a baby sitter last minute, but my family couldn't get one. My brothers had a college radio show and said they could watch me as they played music. They really liked nicknames The older brother's nickname was Komodo Chicken, and the younger's was Action Muffin. They decided to give me one, thus Inferno Cookie.

When I got my own steam account when I was 8 (since my dad let me get DoDS on my own account to stop ruining his rep as a decent player) I needed a name, and this was around the time I got my first gerbil and an email of my very own ^_^. Cutegerbils was taken on hotmail sooo I was cutegerbil for 4 years. Then I shortened it to Gerbil so people wouldn't give me as hard of a time, although it was/still is amusingly ironic for several reasons.

My name is a combinations of the children of psychologists and students of political "science" I beheaded, boiled their blood to make soup and feed to the geese. How dare they to use the name of science in their useless professions.

Fairly simple. I loved the game Raze and Raze 2. I decided to have the name RazeMaster. It was taken elsewhere. Then I settled on TheRazeRuler. Stuck with me.

Uhhh... Well... I guess I wanted a name that was memorable. I guess.

MY name originates from my original name Soupyahtzee. A play on the name Soup Nazi from the Seinfeld show. Someone suggested that I shortage my name to just Soupy.

A slight variation of a nickname I was given by a friend. It's close to what my actual name is.

Explains it all. I'm male though, so instead of Abby Normal I chose Abe Normal. I've a handful of people recognize it. :)

hah! I was wondering but I wasn't sure.

Yellow is stupid and red is full of itself.

^ True story.

So, as for me... I have been using this name for a very long time. It's a nickname I was given by some gamer friends when I was a young teen and then it just kind of stuck. It became my official Steam name when I began playing Counter-Strike back when some of you were probably still in diapers. (TF2 Division makes me feel old) ;) It was actually a bit ironic when I was first given the nickname because I was about as far from princess-like as you could be. I used to make fun of the princess stereotypes in video games and movies and joke that Mario should just leave the princess in another castle and go play some football or have a slice of pizza. But I've been using the name for so long now, I can't imagine being called anything else.

Long long ago in a game many of ye lil kids do not know (CS 1.6). I used to play in a clan called Raw, they then changed to War and everyone was an animal. I was War Rabbit. Eventually I changed it to War Rabb. That's been my gamer tag now for about a decade in all games. :)

Gosh, what a good question. Well, my real life initials are KEP, and when I was 12, Zelda was my favorite game series, so I decided to give myself a second middle name of Link to make my full initials KELP. I went by K.E.L.P. for a while, but I got tired of the periods, and the name was too short anyway. So then I lengthened it to The_Mighty_KELP. A lot of my older forum accounts (OCR, GFAQS) still are named that. After even more time, I got tired of the underscores, the all-caps name, and that people occasionally called me "The Mighty" rather than "Kelp", so I changed it to KelpTheGreat.
