Overclocking future setup

So im planning on getting an i5-3570k w/ an asrock mobo (still trying to figure out which 1 still). Anyways, my question is do I need to get DDR3 1866 to be able to oc the i5-3570k? I previously purchased 2x4gb ddr3 1600 memory not even taking into account wanting to oc my future system. Will the ddr3 1600 hinder my ability to oc the setup?

you will not see much of a difference between 1600 and 1866 ram.
I have 1600 in one comp and 1866 in another and they both overclock
to about the same overclock. memory is the only difference in both comps.

You need more ram speed!!! oc the ram if you like you just need to change the timing!! or don't worry about it. its all your choice (pick good ram)

Ram Math Chart:
2666MHz divide 2 = 1333MHz
2400MHz divide 2 = 1200MHz
1866MHz divide 2 = 933MHz
1600MHz divide 2 = 800MHz

CPU Math Chart:
Bus 100Mhz x 30 multiplier = 3GHz
Bus 100Mhz x 35 multiplier = 3.5GHz
Bus 133Mhz x 35 multiplier = 4.65GHz Don't Try this!!!

this would be why you can't see or notice a difference in the computers just like if the cpu was 3.5Ghz and the other is 3GHz or 4GHz its very small change!!

Do not forget to stress the system after each change run the stress test for at least a half hour and once you find the top speed you like then run the stress test for at least 5 hours watch those temps do not go pass 67.4C
