Weekly/Bi-weekly Comic Strip for eGo (recruit)

Hello everyone,

There is something that has been on my mind ever since that I have heard that G-Mod was going to add the TF2 models and maps. This has sparked an interest in me in a project that I would like to undertake with some of my other fellow clanmates.

I would like to use G-Mod as a base for a weekly comic strip based around the TF2 world and other stories from eGO. This would have to involve a group of other people because I do not have a vivid knowledge of photo shop which would be needed to help make the comic strip look professional. I would also need some people who are great with G-Mod.

I'm trowing out this idea with the hope that people will become interested and willing to help me. So, if you want to join this idea...Post a reply...If you'd like to see these comics come out...Post a reply...If you even read this...Guess what...Post a reply. I really would like to give a bit more back to eGO then I do now. The more replies I get the more interest and chance we would get to have the overlords of eGO to give us the go ahead.

I love G-Mod. One suggestion is use Comic Life. It's a cheap way to create pretty good looking comic pages and for the most part it's easy to use. You can find it on any mac book and you can get it for pc too. This way you wouldn't usually need photoshop.

Currently I don't have a lot of time due to school but I would love to see a comic. And maybe help when I can. Keep us updated

Here I found an example. This is a wow comic I did for a friend. I hope this pic isn't to big. The best thing about Comic Life is the easy talk bubbles. As you can see some of them have different styles too. I did this in about an hour while learning the program.

Oh and remember, if you have any buddies with Mac Books the program is already on their computers. It comes free with OSX. So you can just steal their comp's and enjoy

Be warned the program was a little laggy when I was using it. But this may have been because of the high resolution of all the screenshots I was using. So I would definitely try out the demo and make sure you like it. Overall though it's a lot of fun to use.

I might be able to help out as soon as you give me a vision of what you really want to do, I like posing models (not tf2, dont know why but I suck at posing those) and I am handy with photoshop but comiclife would be an easier choice.

Wow, I'm kinda surprised at the load out that came to check this out. I wanted the comic to become TF2 orientated. The g-mod allows us to tell great stories that we have all heard every now and then. We use g-mod to take photo's as the base of our comic then use either photoshop or comic life to add the text. I just thought that it was a great idea to work on. Be able to poke fun at the TF2 universe, the admins, players and punks.
