Well we were talking about it earlier, so I thought about starting a thread.

40k info: games-workshop.com
Warmachine info: http://www.privateerpress.com/

Who plays? And what Army/Faction/?

I play Wh40k as Dark Eldar and Chaos.

Ah man . . . . the devil comes to my doorstep selling snow-cones :) I'm just now getting into WH40K . . . . gonna go Necron. Not sure if I should spend the $$$ on the game or a new system . . . . decisions, decisions.

6.

Warmachine I play Cryx led by the Iron Lich Asphixious and Cygnar led by Major Markus Siege Brisbane. Flames of War I play Mid War Soviet Strelkovy Company and a Late War German Festung Kompanie. Epic I play orks. I dont play warhammer or warhammer 40k anymore. Lord of the Rings I play Uruk-hai. Warmachine and flames of war are the only ones I play regularly.

I have 40k and both the expansions. I play as Chaos. If you want to play pm me, I'll have to reinstall the game again.

I've said it once and I'll say it again... Imperial Guard > Tyranids

Just getting into WH40k Tabletop too, gonna start up an Imperial Guard Mechanized army, just finishing up my list and trying to pick a good color scheme.

For the record, the most effective army I've seen out there is Mechanized Tau ( the 'skimmers' rule is all sorts of broken)
That said, I play Black Templar, Tyranids, and Space Marines.

Well, as if the avatar isnt a indicator.....

Space Marines FTW! (mainly got into for the building and painting though). Working on a Custodes 'army/squad'.

I don't get what's so fun about warhammers and stuff like that... Boring if you ask me...!

Dr.Marvin, isn't that more Imperial Guard than Space Marines? D:

Darwin, people love it for tons of different reasons, for me its the actual modeling part, I love painting them, I buy random models just to paint, but the actual game looks REALLY fun to play, lots of strategic thinking involved. The fiction around the game is really great too, the put alot of work into it and it really draws you into the WH40k world.

Ya, I know em, they guard the Emperor's corpse. I thought the symbol in your avatar was used to IG more though, I know its on alot of their standards and alot of the Sanctioned Phykers have them on their models.

Some conversions I've done.
Techmarine in full servo on Attack Bike.

Winged Hive Tyrant ( not finished painting)

Vindicator conversion from the old style Vindicator to the new style Rhino chassis

Dreadnought with claws (no game effect, just looks cool)

Nice paint jobs man! I love the Vindicator and Dreadnought, very well done! :)

There's more pics, but I don't feel like posting them, plus it would take up a lot of space. Just search my handle on photobucket. Different angles on a lot of stuff, different weapon configs for the Dreadnought (I didn't glue the arms on), some pics of a Carnifex and some Homagaunts that I actually finished painting.

Actually the Imperial Eagle is Astrates, it is their "salute". however the imperial guard adopted it as well.

The Aquila is also used in prayer by the imperium of man in general. Pious Citizens and Soldiers of the Guard will form the Aquila symbol in prayer, when someone mentions the emperor, or the ruinous powers, or anything heretical for that manner.
The hand motion is basically the hands forming an eagle patter by locking the thumbs and crossing the hands at the wrists. I'm a geek sue me.
Anyone play Dawn of War?
