Dust2 server

Hey guys,
I've been playing for a while now on the D2 server and it is always filled with excitement, fun and crazy rushes. The one thing it's lacking is admins. During any given time, it'll either have no admins or one on duty. It is difficult sometimes to restrain the players that cause uproar and chaos to even the small switching/kicking afks. Not trying to discredit or make anyone look bad, but the "regular" admins I usually see are Blood, Crypto, Frost, Eugooglizer, Vince tha goat, B!eed, myself and maybe a couple others who I have forgotten to mention. What I'm trying to say is, it would be nice to have a couple more admins visit from time to time and check up on the server. I know D2 may not be every ones forte but it would be nice having a helping hand in moderating the server.

I used to be a super regular in dust2, playing on it again now, it was always interesting getting to know everyone. (Favorite story to tell is about the time dust2 was having a legit book club) But there are a ridiculous amount of constant rule breakers. Being an O back then I still had to ask for help in dealing with situations cause it got out of control on that server. It would definitely be nice to start to see some more regular admins around on there for sure.

Sadly Normal Games like Dust2 does not ...well its not fun for me...I'm allways the first to die, I can't figer out half the gun systems...evey gun seems to have a differant bullet speed and it drives me up the wall so i spend all my time in jail

This isn't receiver, you just point at someones face and shoot and then their face is gone.
for those who don't know what receiver is, it's a small little game where you get a gun and you collect tapes around a randomly spawned world. The gun is all manually controlled though, meaning you have to manually eject the magazine and load a new one, pull back the slide, and maybe even pull back the hammer as well. You have to load bullets into empty magazines all by yourself as well. Its rather enjoyable for 5 bucks.

it's true about the admining fact, i get allot of messages during the day trough my phone ( steam app ) and when im just at home, cause the players playing at my timezone almost have no adminsupport, cause the most of our admins are usa.

also i get allot of complains about admins that don't care about language or afk's and just simply ignoring them.

also personally i don't really like dust_2 ill be found more on italy or office, but if you need any help over there just add me on steam and i will jump in from time to time !

If it's ok, I don't like playing Dust_2, But i can sit in spectate in the mornings and admin.

I think if there is no other admin online , and there are allot of player online, this will really be appreciated by cs leadership.

I don't mind ding it at all, I have 4 Monitors to my PC. Mostly when i'm home i'm programing my games so i have nothing else to do, Then at night is when I game with all my friends.

I was on HS last night and got an admin message to go to Dust_2 to deal with afks... after about 10 minutes of trying to get in, I let NMSnioer know via steam...but what else could I do. Good to see the server is filled but its a bit hard to get in if an admin is needed.

well , if you put it on auto joining, you will be in there within 2 minutes most of the time, the player calling for help could also leave for a minute so you are possible to get in. i get admin calls all the time from my =(e)= recuits, while there are admins in there...

Everytime I look at Dust it's full. I'm also bored of it due to 50+ CSGO Dust2 comp matches, but I'll gladly hop in and spectate for a little bit! In fact... I think I'll go do that right now.

Thanks for the support everyone, there are also a lot of =(e)= regulars too. I think making the
U # "message" more known to players would encourage them to use it more, or even let others know that it's still an option. It is sometimes hard to see the automated broadcast message when you're in a gunfight or trying to clutch a 1v5 situation! Thanks

Thank you for sharing the issue, Rednoob. I was about to make a thread on the same topic. I've been on a brief hiatus from css this week, as I've been doing a leveling race in Path of Exile. I've grown accustomed to being the sole admin on the Dust server for the greater majority of the hours that I play (with periodic exceptions when those whom Rednoob named pop in), and I'm more than happy to take care of all of the issues which arise while I'm in there. What's been a bit trying, however, is to have been messaged repeatedly by server regulars asking me to leave PoE and come take care of issues in Dust. I've been messaged eight separate times this week from various Dust players because of issues of excessive language, harassment, and a child porn spray.

I'd love to see a growth in our admin ranks in order to be better equipped to handle these issues. Short of this, I think it would be especially useful to include a message in the chat rotation explaining how to contact an admin in another server should the need arise. That's an element which none of the players who messaged me were aware of?some of whom were =(e)= members.

If us admins had a way to monitor chat without having to physically join the game, that'd be awesome! For half the day, I sit at my school computer which doesn't have CS on it and, due to the 2.53GHz Pentium D processor, it would never have CS on it.

There might be a tool that allows us to watch the chat and if someone does break a rule, we can type in chat accordingly and warn the player.

You have to be in-game to issue the w/k/b commands, from my knowledge.

It's called RCON. only advisors and up have access.
As far as an actual tool/mod to do that, idk, but I wouldn't spend my time monitoring it.
