Help cod4 mod tools help

Hi, i recently downloaded cod4 Mod Tools for my MAC to be able to edit cod4 maps. I know it is not made for a mac but cod4 compile tools i can run on my mac through Wine. when i open compile tools and go to preferences and go to browse to find the cod4 app (Its what you need to do) I cant find the cod4 app. every time i try it says "not a valid cod4 path" please help....

Because it's originally made for windows, the CoD4 app which it's looking for is an executable file (.exe) which only can be found on Windows.

As you're on a Mac, the CoD4 made for Mac is using the .app extension which is completely different.

The only way to be able to edit is either using virtual machines or bootcamp and be able to run .exe files.

HOWEVER, that's just my view of things, there might be other options which I'm not aware of.

The thing is, i found some kid do it on a mac. but i cant figure out what he did for the browse thing... :facewall:

When the browser pops up, is it asking for the application or the data folder?
It could be for the data folder since you're looking to edit the maps
