Spray problem

I know this isn't technically tech related, but I don't know what else to try.

In Counter-Strike: Source I can only see my spray and the default target spray. No other players can see my spray, just as I can't see their sprays if it is anything other than the default target spray.

Things I have tried:
Move .dat files from ...\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\download\user_custom\XX -to- ...\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\download\user_custom -and- ...\Counter-Strike Source\cstrike\download\

I put the command cl_playerspraydisable "0" in my auto exec.
Other commands I've tried
mp_decals 0 to 4000
r_decal_cullsize 0 to 5
a few others I can't remember.

I've re-installed the game.

I've verified integrity.

I don't know what else to try. I got the above 'fixes' from Google searches, and I seem to be going in circles there. If anyone thinks they know what the problem is please let me know, thanks.

A few minutes after I made this thread I found out the problem. Somehow my cl_allowupload and cl_allowdownload got set to 0. Setting both to 1 fixed the problem for me.

Congratz on the find! Source has such a massive code list that can be applied to a number of the available games, it is recomended to learn as much about this as you can considering a large number of settings can be tweeked to allow you to better improve you game play
